Introducing Utah Arches #1 - Mesmerizing Marble Run, Rolling Ball Sculpture, RBS handcrafted with pride for the person who has everything!

The "Utah Arches #1" is a premier rolling ball sculpture. I recently visited the Arches National Park at Moab, Utah and was overwhelmed by the natural beauty of the sandstone. The area there was the inspiration behind this RBS. The spiral brass funnel was inspired by the road up to the Zion Overlook Trail. I integrated one of the four pieces of sandstone that I brought back from the trip. This RBS will be the first of four unique RBSs that I plan to build that are directly inspired by the Utah Arches National Park.

As the steel bearings are carried up on the brass twist lift they get deposited onto the the fast track down around to the spiral funnel. Dropping out the bottom the bearing is then on its way through the sandstone arch and reloaded back into the twist lift for a ride to the top. The base is made from a piece of cherry that is enhanced by its wonderful rich woodgrain. Much care and detail went into this fine creation and no doubt you or your loved one will be proud to display this one-of-a-kind functional art piece in a prominent place.
